Understanding the Law of Attraction

All change begins with your beliefs. Your beliefs shape your thoughts. Your thoughts shape your words.  Your words shape your actions. Your actions shape your reality. When you have a thought or belief, it is like a message that is sent out into the universe, and the universe begins to interpret that thought and starts to send signals back to you. Those thoughts naturally begin developing into words, whether that be discussing your ideas with people around you, or writing down your thoughts. These thoughts then naturally flow into your actions; taking these thoughts and ideas and literally taking action to create them.

How to Use the Law of Attraction

Be Aware of Your Beliefs

What do you believe to be true about yourself, your life? Think about making a list and go down the list and mark down which of these beliefs are true, which you want them to be true, negative, positive, or limiting beliefs. Example of limiting belief: “I can’t make money”; “I’m not smart enough to get my real estate licence”; or “I’ll never buy a home.” In order to use the LOA’s benefits to your fullest advantage, turn these negative, limiting beliefs into positive beliefs: “Money comes easily to me”; I am smart enough to achieve anything”; “I am fully capable of getting my real estate licence.” Flip your negatives into positives.

Focus on Exactly the Thing you Want to Attract

Focus on the subject, not the negative. If you say, “I don’t want to be late to work”, the subject is still being late, therefore the universe and your energy will focus on not being late. Turn your negative into a positive, “I am on time for work”, and your actions will naturally get you to move quicker and focus on being on time.

Gratitude

Feeling gratitude is a method for creating more peace and attracting a more positive reality. If you accept more gratitude into your life, and consistently do so, you will encounter a more positive reality. If you say to yourself every morning, “I am thankful for the roof over my head and the ability to see my family when I walk downstairs”, then you will naturally use this momentum to positively take action in your life; because you’re already appreciating the things you have and will take advantage of the opportunity to create more abundance.

Use Affirmations

The trick to affirmations is writing and reading in the present tense. You can choose to read them at night, in the morning, or have them as your screensaver on your phone to read them throughout the day, and repeat them to ingrain into your beliefs. You can also choose to journal your dreams in present tense. For example, instead of writing down how you hope to achieve a goal, write it down as if you’ve already achieved it, and write about how it feels. When you journal like it’s real, you plan out the details of the reality and therefore will attract it.

Vision Board

If you’ve already read our blog post on “How to Create a Vision Board,” then you’ll already know the benefits to it. But if you’ve yet to truly understand how a vision board works, or why you may want to create one, then I encourage you to visit that blog post.

Change Behavior to Act as If Your Dream is Already Real

Act in your day to day life as is your dreamt was already real. Own your reality. Make decisions on what your future ideal self is like, will do, will behave, and will feel, and start showing up as that person. You may be an inexperienced, brand new Real Estate Agent and you’re concerned about finding business. Instead of waking up every morning and telling worrying yourself into self doubt, show up to the office everyday with the confidence of someone that’s been in the business for ten years. If you say to yourself, “I am an expert Real Estate Agent and I will sell every home I list”, then you’re bound to develop the stamina to back up what you believe.

Take Action

Once you’ve taken action with your goals, the universe will conspire to help you achieve your goals. If you take action, the universe will take action with you. The universe is your collaborator. Writing affirmations, feeling gratitude, and creating a vision board are excellent tools to begin your steps to success, but thinking and manifesting your goals isn’t enough. Take the first step, then the second, and the third and keep going with full force and just watch how the universe backs you up with opportunity to succeed.

How to Create a Vision Board

Are you familiar with the law of attraction? You may have heard this term on tv, on social media, or maybe floating around group conversation over dinner with friends, but most people don’t actually have a solid understanding of what it is. In essence, according to Psychology Today, it is “the belief that the universe creates and provides for you that which your thoughts are focused on. For a deeper review of what LOA is, check out our blog post “Understanding the Law of Attraction” to gain better insight. For now, when understanding why many people look to create a vision board for the new year to illustrate their New Year dreams and goals, we must understand how visualizing our goals by having them constantly in front of us, can act as a vessel to transform our dreams into reality. If you’re curious about creating a vision board for your dreams and goals, and need some help understanding the steps to create one, then we encourage you to read the following steps so you too can focus your energy on your life goals.

Points to Remember about a Vision Board:

  • You can do a digital or a physical vision board.

  • The point is to look at it every day.

  • This is a board of inspiration for your dream life.

  • This is about what you want to invite into your life.

To begin, do a creative brainstorming session where you give yourself a dedicated amount of time to think about how you want your life to look. Whether that’s concerning business or your personal life; personal achievement; fitness; improving your health (mental, physical, emotional), spirituality, travel, or family goals. Or maybe your goal is to buy your first home; grow your rental properties; buying your first rental; getting your real estate license and quitting that terrible job that you hate. Maybe you want to focus on financial wealth, or more activities with your family; doing more things by yourself;  taking that salsa class; or starting that etsy business. Do you want to get more organized? Wake up earlier? Buy your dream car or your first car? It can be as little or as big as you’d like-these are your dreams and goals, no one elses opinion of them matters. If you need some ideas of how to get your creative juices flowing, read out blog post “Creative Brainstorming Ideas” to get a scope of how to begin the brainstorming process.

Once you’ve determined your goals, go on pinterest, google, your personal photos, magazines, newspapers, anywhere where you can find images, and find images that inspire you, or are pictures of your goals. Generally, try to find pictures that bring you joy and inspire you. Try to be as purposeful with your pictures as possible.

Once you’ve got your collection of images, lay them out or digitally organize them how you see fit. Maybe you’d like to categorize them into certain sections on your board, or maybe you’d like the images to blend together and be scattered. Whichever way you’d like to organize your photos, do it! It’s all up to you.

If you’ve created a physical vision board, then consider framing it, putting a border around it, or hanging it somewhere where it won’t be damaged. The same goes with a digital vision board, you can frame it as a work of art, or customize it to fit as your computer desktop screensaver. The point of the vision board is to have it visible at all times. So maybe that means putting it above your desk, in your bedroom, the kitchen, wherever you spend the most time during the day is where this masterpiece should go.

At last, we’ve made it to the final stage of the creation of your vision board. Instead of just having this be a one time arts and crafts project, go back to your vision board often and reflect on how you’re doing throughout the year. A vision board is not the answer to all your dreams coming true, but instead it is a vessel you can use to direct your mind and you thoughts towards working towards your dreams and goals, and manifesting them into your reality. This is a reminder to you that anything is possible if you first visualize your goals, and secondly, put it into action.

If your dream or goal is to buy your first home, multiply your rental properties, or sell your home and move to Fiji, then contact your Denver Realtor today so he/she can help you ignite your goals.

A true restaurant based on the philosophy that food should make you feel better, not worse is True Food, located in Cherry Creek North only blocks away from Cherry Creek Mall. With each season brings a new menu that highlights that particular season’s benefit-rich ingredients. Some of the most popular items on their menu include, but are not limited to: Spaghetti Squash Casserole, Unbeetable Burger, and the Kale Guacamole (a personal favorite).

Watercourse Foods

As one of Denver’s original vegetarian restaurants, Watercourse Foods opened in 1998 in Capitol Hill on 13th Avenue. This scratch kitchen focuses on utilizing local vendors, cultivates an environment of inclusivity, and prides themselves on keeping their menu free of artificial colors, preservatives, flavors, and hydrogenated fats. The name “Watercourse” comes from the philosophy of the “water course way”, essentially meaning to take the path of least harm. Not only is their environment friendly, warm, and inviting, but their food speaks for itself with lovely menu items such as: Wings, Za’atar Eggplant, and White Cheddar Mac.

Vital Root

Visit an Art Gallery

If Cherry Creek North is known for one thing, it’s the endless art galleries that fill each street. Even if you’re not interested in purchasing art, taking a look at the local and international artist scene is a treat for all ages and at any time of day. If you’re not too familiar with Denver’s art gallery scene, look into these three art galleries to check out some of Denver’s coolest artists: Gallery Rouge, Show of Hands, Clayton Lane Fine Arts.

Happy Hour

By now you’ve definitely worked up an appetite from all that walking and shopping, and what better way to celebrate the day other than with happy hour? You can find a happy hour menu in nearly every restaurant or bar in Cherry Creek North, but here are three particular happy hours you may want to keep an eye out for: Piatti, Del Frisco’s Grille, La Merise French Bistro.

How to Grocery Shop Stress Free

Do you dread heading to the grocery store every week from undue stress and anxiety of crazy crowds and disorganized shopping? Well below we’ve got a full proof plan of how to maximize your shopping efforts and decrease your frustrations.

Meal Prep

In order to efficiently get through your shopping day, plan out the meals you’d like to make for the week so you can budget exactly what you need and how much you need to spend. This is to ensure you don’t overspend or over buy.

Plan It Out

Once your meal calendar is prepared, make a list and categorize each item into groups. Once you’re at the grocery store, you’ll be able to enter each section and know exactly what you need.

*Bonus Tip: Either make sure to remember the list, or transfer the list into your notes.

Grab a Drink or a Toy

If you’re going shopping on your own, make sure to bring a refreshing or comforting drink to keep you calm and fueled for the trip. If you’re bringing along some kids, make sure you bring them a toy, drink, or snack to keep their minds occupied, and to keep your trip stress free.

Timing

Time your trip according. Decide what time your local grocery stores are at its peak, and work around it so you’re not shopping among large crowds of other shoppers. Look into heading to the grocery store weekday mornings or weekend evenings.

Where You Should Consider Traveling To In 2020

Have you started planning out trips for 2020 yet? Well if you have, consider squeezing in one of the destinations listed below, and if you haven’t yet, then consider setting some time aside to look into taking a trip to any of the amazing places that are about to mentioned in this blog post. Whether you’re planning on a long-haul trip or maybe just road tripping through your home state, be encouraged to travel somewhere new and unfamiliar.

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Vancouver is one of the most wonderful cities in the world where you can find nearly every element in one place: city life, mountains, and the Pacific Ocean. Whether you’re visiting in the summer or winter seasons, you’ll most likely find people on the beach playing volleyball or bicycling through Stanley Park; Vancouver’s largest urban park, shopping in Gastown, or driving through the Sea-to-Sky Highway to hike, ski, or take a gondola up the flourishing mountains. If you’d like to read a more descriptive itinerary of what to do in Vancouver, check out the “Must-See: Vancouver” blog.

Budapest, Hungary

Ranked among one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, Budapest is a must-see city that most people have heard of, but seldom tend to visit. Growing in its popularity due to its underrated beauty and relatively cheap tourism, Budapest’s hidden gems of history and culture are a world traveler’s dream. The Hungarian Parliament Building is one of Hungary’s largest buildings and home to hundreds of parliamentary offices. Tours are available throughout the day in different languages. Next on the list is Gellért Baths, a local Hungarian’s personal favorite especially during the winter months. This spa centre includes an open-air pool, effervescent swimming pool, and a range of other saunas and plunge pools. Lastly, for one of the most spectacular and rewarding views, make the trip up to Fisherman’s Bastion, built in the early 20th century, this neo-Gothic style medieval monument specifically acts as a panoramic viewing platform. An unforgettable view.

Aspen, Colorado

If you’re looking to venture deep into the mountains, but still want a luxurious experience, then do some research into Aspen, one of Colorado’s most expensive, beautiful and luxurious destinations. Sitting 8,000 ft above sea level, besides indulging in the skiing and snowboarding culture, the fabulous dining and shopping experience will have you walking around the city centre all day. Once you’ve finished shopping around stores like Louis Vuitton, Prada and Ralph Lauren, take the Silver Queen Gondola up Aspen Mountain to the Sundeck where you can grab lunch and be in-awe of 14,000-foot peaks. Once you’ve come down from the gondola, head back to your hotel and take a dip in your heated pool (if you’re visiting in winter). Hotel Aspen is one of the best city centre hotels in Aspen, without breaking the bank. With complimentary breakfast, a cozy fireplace, and courtyard pool deck and hot tub, what else could you possibly need to entice you to spend the week or weekend in Aspen?  If you’re looking to stay in Aspen, check out our “Must-See: Aspen” blog for a detailed itinerary of ideas.

Disneyworld, Orlando, Florida

Sometimes trips aren’t all about the actual destination, but instead the reason for visiting. If you’re wanting to bring a little bit of your childhood back and need a gentle reminder of all of the magic that’s in the world, then look no further than the magical world of Disneyworld as your next big adventure. Whether you’re five or fifty, Disneyworld has the potential to appeal to all and have activities that all members of the family can experience. Staying on Disney property is a bonus and includes transportation to all parks, which makes traveling much less expensive and hassle free. With your Disney ticket, you have the opportunity to visit all three parks in one day: Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Epcot.

The first destination for most first-time travelers is Magic Kingdom where you enter through Main Street; the main street of Magic Kingdom that has boutiques, shops, and restaurants that are sure to get you immediately excited to explore the rest of the park. “Wishes”, Magic Kingdom’s Firework show is Magic Kingdom’s finest firework display happening nightly and consistently gathering huge crowds (so plan watching the show accordingly and snag a spot at least an hour in advance).  Once you’ve taken your picture in front of Cinderella's Castle, head over to Animal Kingdom where you can experience Pandora-The World of Avatar and it’s newest rides like “Flight of Passage” and the “Na’vi River Journey”, or to Epcot where you can blast off on the new Guardians of the Galaxy Attraction or indulge in Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival.

Salzburg, Austria

Salzburg is located at the foot of the Alps on the border with Germany. If you have any interest in history, then you’ll be pleased to know that Salzburg survived WWII with very little damage, so most of the old, Baroque buildings remain in their original condition. With being nestled in the Alps, Salzburg is one of the most jaw-dropping, painting like cities you will ever encounter. And if you’re ever so slightly a lover of musicals, you’ll be pleased to know that Salzburg is the location where the “Sound of Music” was filmed, with a tour indicating the locations where it was filmed. Besides strolling through the endless luscious forest roads and admiring the Bavarian Mountains, take a slight walk up a steep path to the Hohensalzburg Fortress, one of Europe’s largest castles at the time, it was built in 1077. Finish off the day of walking and digesting hundreds of years of culture with some fine dining. Esszimer Restaurant is a Michelin-starred restaurant if you’re looking for a gourmet meal, and Augustiner Brausteuble is a beer garden and restaurant with a long history in Salzburg, and among the locals favorite places to end the day.

Yes, there may be many adult only activities, but Vegas also holds many kid friendly activities that are sure to make your family trip worthwhile. Check out the list below to gather some ideas for your next trip to Vegas.

The Hotel

When deciding which hotel you and your family want to stay out, consider how kid-friendly the pool is to maximize the most amount of fun. Whether you have young ones or teens, Circus Circus Hotel & Casino has featured attractions like a Bank Heist Laser Challenge, Arcade, roller coasters, and many more large and premium rides that are bound to keep all members of your family entertained.

See a Show

If you’re able to squeeze in a spectacular show into your itenary, then I recommend getting some tickets to one of Vegas’s many family friendly shows. Also at Treasure Island is Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N., an interactive and educational exhibit; the ultimate superhero exhibit.

Stroll through the Stores

Vegas is home to some of the most unique and dreamiest stores that are guaranteed to excite all ages. While you’re out there with the family, check out the M&M Store, a 28,000 square foot, four level store (the first M&M store location ever) where you can create your own one-of-a-kind M&M’s, and get plenty of M&M souvenirs. Once you’ve created your own M&Ms with your children’s face printed on, head nextdoor to the Coca-Cola Store, which is equally as grand. Here you can buy exclusive merchandise, snag a photo-op with the Coca-Cola Polar Bear, or grab a refreshing drink at the beverage bar on the second floor.

High Roller

Looking for some amusement while also escaping the dreadful heat? Get your family into the High Roller, one of Vegas’s newest additions to The Strip. Standing at 550 ft tall and sweeping 360-degree views of the Las Vegas Valley and The Strip, this 30 minute attraction is an exciting way to cool down and have your family experience one of the most unique views of Vegas.

Check out the day club at Wet Republic where popular DJs like Calvin Harris make regular appearances.

Girls Trip to Vegas

Now, Vegas has its own reputation for being a chaotic and sinful city that never stops the party. But, what most visitors are unaware of are all of the glamorous shopping, dining, entertainment, conventions, spas, and hidden treasures within the City of Second Chances. Below is a quick rundown on what a girls weekend trip to Vegas can look like.

Pool Party

You can take either route, either a relaxing day at the pool, or head to one of the world famous Day Club pool parties. Almost every resort on the street has some kind of Day Club, but the most well known have to be Encore’s Beach Club at the Wynn and Tao Beach at The Venetian. Both clubs host world renowned DJs like Kygo, TIESTO, the Chainsmokers, and many more all year round.

Brunch

Nothing is more satisfying after a long day in the sun, or a long night out than a fluffy, parisien brunch. Specifically, take the girls out to Mon Ami Gabi, a classic french bistro in the Paris Hotel. Not only do you get to indulge in a menu that specializes in French Toast, Eggs Benedict, and Bloody Mary’s, but you’ll enjoy these delicacies while being seated in front of the water show at the Bellagio, while enjoying the AC.

Shopping

Nothing burns the calories of the french toast and bloody mary faster than shopping. There’s a few options for shopping directly on the strip, depending if you’re looking to go to the high-end shops or more street ware. The Grand Canal Shoppes at Ceasar’s Palace are home to some of the world’s most recognizable brands- LV, Coach, Burberry, Dior, but also to more familiar brands like Banana Republic, Johnston & Murphy, and GUESS. If you’re looking to have a more casual shopping experience, then head down the strip to the Fashion Show Mall, located right across from the Wynn Hotel. Here you’ll find more typical, but still unique stores like Zara, Top Shop, and Free People.

Time to Chill

Once you’ve gone through the majority of the day, think about taking some time to either go back to your hotel room, go back to the pool, or indulge in the spa and hydrate with lots of water after a long day of walking around in the boiling heat. Taking some time to truly relax under the shade with some cold drinks, or in a hotel room with a face mask, will refresh your energy, prevent you from overheating, and get you ready to go out at night.

Plan a Special Night

Vegas is known for its infinite variety of entertainment, and this allows for tourists to choose any form of fun for any occasion. If you’re looking to have a creative night, look into a Cirque du Soleil show. If you’re hoping to have a glamorous night, look into having dinner at Mr. Chow at Ceasar’s Palace (one of Jennifer Lopez’s go-to Vegas restaurants) and grabbing drinks at Hyde Bellagio, a swanky cocktail-lounge-meet’s-nightclub. If you’re looking for something a little louder, check out Omnia nightclub at Ceasar’s Palace for the hottest DJs nightly and the best terrace view of the strip.
